Recently, Siemens Building Technologies have produced new demo software for the Sistore MX range of digital video recorders, which is available for download from their website. The demo, which works on standards PCs and laptops, shows how recording systems can be easily and effectively managed. This is achieved through a practical graphical user interface. The Sistore MX hybrid video recording platform allows for control and recoding for large number of cameras, and has an appropriately high storage capacity. Features include smart search, activity detection, temperature management and sabotage alarm. Siemens state that Sistore MX is ideally suited to retail and banking applications as images are easily searched and can be linked to transaction data for use with cash machines or cash registers.
The demo is designed to be as user friendly as possible, a wide range of actions are enabled through an icon based menu bar with drop down lists. It is based on four virtual analogue cameras.
