December 22, 2007 - Don Mills, president of SIA Group (www.siagroup.net), a full-service insurance agency with six offices throughout North Carolina, has announced that the firm’s New Bern office, SIA-Stallings Insurance, is participating in The Salvation Army’s Adopt A Family program. In lieu of exchanging gifts, the office decided to adopt a family who is less fortunate and unable to provide gifts to their children in honor of Judy Zocco, a New Bern office employee who suddenly passed away on Nov. 29.
Zocco was with SIA-Stallings for 14 years and is survived by her husband, Pete, her son, Chris, brother, Chet, and mother, Patricia. The family that the office is sponsoring consists of a single mother with a 9-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. SIA-Stallings will provide Christmas presents for the children. The Salvation Army is an evangelical organization dedicated to assisting those in need throughout the community.
