June 16, 2009 - www.shcri.com - The issuance of Detailed Rules of Adjustment and Revitalization Plan of Light Industry is favorable for Chinese large papermaking enterprises to continue to keep the leading position in the future development.
The detailed rules mainly requests Chinese papermaking industry to cut down the sewage level continuously. The detailed rules points out definitely that the COD emissions of the major industries have to turn down by 10% and 255 thousand tons by 2011 compared with 2007, concluding the food industry down by 140 thousand tons, the papermaking industry down by 100 thousand tons and the leather industry down by 15 thousand tons. The waste water emissions have to drop by 29% and 1.95 billion tons compared with 2007, in which the food industry should reduce by 1 billion tons; the papermaking industry should cut down by 900 million tons and the leather industry should decline 50 million tons by 2011. More than 2 million tons of the backward pulp and paper will be knocked out market.
Besides, the detailed rules emphasize particularly that the industry structure must be optimized; pointing out definitely that marked acquisition achievements should be attained and 10 large light industry groups should be formed with the annual sales revenues above 15 billion Yuan; 100 light industry special regions and industrial groups will be newly added so as to balance the development of the light industry among the eastern, central and western areas. The newly added independent brands will reach about 100.
The COD emissions of the large papermaking enterprises are far below the national standard in China. Meanwhile, these companies have large production scale and advanced equipments. Therefore, the sewage level and the replacement of the backward yield capacity will strike the small papermaking enterprises and the environments are more suitable for the large papermaking enterprises to survive in the future. Also, the tendency that the large papermaking enterprises depend on the financing platform for forest-paper integration has not ended.
