May 12, 2009 - SGS Technologies, LLC announced the acquisition of the BarVision® liquor management product line from Nuvo Technologies. The acquisition includes the entire BarVision hardware and software family, all related patents and intellectual property assets, inventory, support, and warranty administration.
SGS stressed their commitment to maintaining the product line, protecting the intellectual property, and assuring the investments of BarVision's customer base. "We recognize the potential of this technology and the robust nature of the surrounding patents," said Simon Sobrero, SGS Technologies' CEO. "We look forward to using our own approach to expand the value of BarVision, for existing users and new customers."
SGS will continue to sell these products under the BarVision® brand and invest in development and manufacturing -- providing the next generation of reliable, high-performance and feature-rich solutions. "The SGS development team is already forging ahead with enhancements to the existing product, as well as exploring some exciting new product ideas." SGS recently purchased a new building and began construction on their state-of-the-art office and manufacturing facility. They will move into their new location in a few months.
