September 10, 2009 - More and more it seems that large corporations are changing the look of their corporate identity. The Seattle Police Foundation is no exception.
Founded in January 2002, the Seattle Police Foundation was formed to assist the police department enhance relationships with the community, improve officer training, recognize officers who protect the public, provide equipment and technology to ensure their safety and enhance the service they provide our community everyday.
Their oringal logo, now 7 years old, dated the project. The foundation was looking for a logo that could allow it to build a future friendly, more recognizeable image. The design they selected was created by Everything Ink Graphic Design, a Graphic Design studio based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
- Mike Pickett, owner and graphic artist of Everything Ink Graphic Design - was quoted, stating -"I wanted to create something that would make them (Seattle Police Foundation) more of an icon in the Seattle area. The logo that I created is unique to the foundation while still holding on to some aspects of the old logo, this new logo is fresh with a touch of flair"
The new logo is currently being utilized on print materials, but there is no plans in the near future to make changes to the website.
