May 28, 2008 - (May 2008) - It’s that time of year again for SCOOZI!’s Annual “Tomato Fest,” which will be held August 15th – 17th 2008, at SCOOZI!, 410 W. Huron in Chicago. One of our Town’s favorite summer traditions enjoyed by foodies and tomato fanatics alike, “Tomato Fest” features a variety of tomato-inspired food and wine menus and special events for tomato lovers of all ages.

Friday, August 15th
SCOOZI! kicks off Tomato Fest with a special Tomato Fest Wine Down from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature 20 wines for $20 (including tax and gratuity) live music and tomato-inspired antipasti!
Wine Down and Dinner Package- Guests have the option of joining us for a 3-course tomato-inspired dinner following the wine down for $50 (includes price of wine down, tax and gratuity).
Saturday, August 16th
SCOOZI! Market: For the 3rd year, guests will enjoy a SCOOZI! Market from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. At the Tomato Fest Market guests can taste and purchase a variety of heirloom tomatoes, bread, fresh pasta, wine, pasta sauces, microgreens, cheese and green tomato apple pies. Chefs John Chiakulas and Chef Eric Young will also be on hand showing guests how to cook their favorite tomato dishes. SCOOZI! will also open the restaurant at 11 a.m. where guests can enjoy their signature pizza, refreshing beverages and live music. Entry to the SCOOZI! Market is complimentary.
Sunday, August 17th
On Sunday, August 17th, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., it’s all about the kids! Little ones can get their feet wet and win prizes in the ever-popular Tomato Fest Tomato Stomp. Kid’s can also be their own chef by making their pizzas.
As always, the event will feature tomato specials by Chef Eric Young.
An Italian Renaissance Trattoria, SCOOZI! focuses on high-quality seasonal ingredients pulled from the many regions of Italy. Marked by rich, mahogany wood and leather banquettes, the airy loft setting offers both snug nooks for intimate dining and large tables for group entertaining, offering accommodations for parties of two to 350. Large Italian windows separate cozy dining sections from the 310-seat dining room.
SCOOZI! is open for dinner seven nights a week. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 – 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, 5-10:30 p.m. and Sunday 5 to 9 p.m. Private catering services are available for special events.
