May 28, 2008 - (May 2008) – SCOOZI! (410 W. Huron, Chicago) is pleased to announce several menu changes and a series of programs through Fall 2008.
An Italian Renaissance Trattoria, SCOOZI! focuses on high-quality seasonal ingredients pulled from the many regions of Italy. Marked by rich, mahogany wood and leather banquettes, the airy loft setting offers both snug nooks for intimate dining and large tables for group entertaining, offering accommodations for parties of two to 350. Large Italian windows separate cozy dining sections from the 310-seat dining room.
New Menu Items
Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner! SCOOZI! is taking advantage of the season’s freshest ingredients by adding them to the menu! The new menu includes Garlic Herb Grilled Shrimp; Eggplant Coponata Crostini; Italian Marinated Olives; Baby Spinach & Strawberry Salad; Shrimp and Escarole Salad; Grilled Market Vegetable Pizza; Pepperoni and basil pizza; Capellini with Shrimp Tomato Pesto; Gnocchi with Asparagus & Speck; Sausage and Broccolini Ravioli; and Balsamic-Glazed Veal Skirt Steak.
Doggie Dining is Back!
Calling all canines! After two years on hiatus, SCOOZI! is bringing back Doggie Dining to their outdoor cafe. Beginning, May 1 (weather permitting), all dogs are welcome to dine with their owners at SCOOZI!’s 40-seat Outdoor Patio. Chef Eric Young has also created a special menu just for your favorite friend! Menu items include homemade & all-natural dog biscuit; Chicken Risotto; Veggies Risotto; and Doggie Granita. All dogs must be on a leash. SCOOZI’s outdoor patio is situated outside the restaurant on Huron Street, the Patio is open seven days a week.
Spring Wine Down, Friday, May 30th
On May 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., SCOOZI!'s popular Wine Down returns featuring 20 summer wines for $20 (tax and gratuity included). Wine Down guests also have the option of choosing to stay for a 3-course dinner including their choice of salad or antipasti, pasta or entrée, and dessert for $50 (Wine Down, dinner, tax and gratuity included).
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
Open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. SCOOZI! is showing appreciation to moms and dads with a $10 SCOOZI! gift certificate. SCOOZI!’s regular menu is available along with seasonal specials. Annual Tomato Fest-Friday, August 15th – Sunday, August 17th.
This annual fest will include a different event each day including:
Friday, August 15, 6 p.m., Tomato Fest Wine Down. This event is priced at $20 per person (including tax and gratuity) and features 20 wines and tomato-inspired antipasti.
Saturday, August 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 2nd annual SCOOZI Market. Enjoy fresh produce, drinks, SCOOZI! specials and more for purchase. Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m.
Sunday, August 17, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Kids Tomato Stomp and Make-Your-Own-Pizza
The event features a t-shirt design contest and, as always, tomato specials by Chef Eric Young.
National Pizza Month Celebration, October
October is National Pizza Month and SCOOZI! is celebrating! Every Wednesday throughout the month of October, each table will receive a complimentary pizza in honor of National Pizza Month! This offer is for dine-in guests only, and excludes tax and gratuity.
SCOOZI! is open for dinner seven nights a week. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Friday 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and Sunday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Private catering services are available for special events.
