April 09, 2006 - SciMercor.com, an online auction for buyers and sellers of health science supplies and equipment, will debut in April.
"Where Science Trades" defines SciMercor, Inc’s auction site, www.SciMercor.com.
Company founders Carole Spangler, Ph.D. of Seattle and Mary Mirpourian of Hillsboro, Ore., said SciMercor will offer an auction forum designed specifically for the health sciences industry. The company charges sellers nothing to list items, and low fees for auctions with successful sales.
“Having spent many years in the laboratory and on the business side in health science, I know how important it is to be cost conscious," said Spangler, the company’s chief executive officer. "Online auctions are a great way to move items in a cost-effective manner. We are particularly excited about SciRecycle, a place where people can offer items for free. Laboratories may find just what they need to continue research and development without impacting their budget.”
SciMercor is accepting listings for auctions and SciRecycle free items now. The company’s first auction is targeted for late April.
SciMercor’s principals have more than 40 years professional experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce and online auctions, high-tech manufacture, and computer security.
