April 02, 2009 - Scientology Volunteer Ministers from Bogotá arrived in Southeastern Colombia last year in response to a call for help from a local mayor.
The first order of business was to provide for the immediate needs of flood victims: food, water and shelter. But, befriending the people they were helping, the Scientology volunteers soon learned of other problems they faced on a daily basis, even in the best of times. So once the disaster was under control they set up a series of seminars, based on the Scientology Handbook. The highest priority of the people of the area was their children - how to care for them and provide for their needs.
The Scientology Handbook is a compilation of the works of L. Ron Hubbard, providing practical help to resolve such things as job stress, relationship problems, drug addiction, communication trouble and study difficulties.
