The recent ban on plastic by the Government of Canada further acted as a catalyst in banning the hazardous and non-biodegradable products from being used in school's fun raising programs.
Corinne Dowst, head of fundraising for the Parent Teacher Association at Henniker Community School in Henniker, N.H., said, “I was looking for new fund-raising ideas after my school's disappointing holiday sale of ornaments and related items last year”. “All my concerns vanished after I saw an ad for Greenraising”, she added.
Green Students Fundraising has come up with safe alternatives that can be used for school fundraising activities. Some of these alternatives include Klean Kanteens, Botanical Papers, Laptop Lunches, Nellie's Dryerballs, Eco Holiday Gift Bags, and Organic Cosmetics.
Klean Kanteen is a safe alternative for baby bottles, adult bottles and sports bottles.
