  • (1888PressRelease) February 21, 2014 - Singapore - Scalada Holdings, Ltd., the Singapore-based sustainable solutions group, is pleased to announce that Robert McClung has been appointed to the position of company president with immediate effect. He will replace existing president, Spencer Trask who, owing to personal reasons, will step down as president but remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Mr. McClung joins Scalada Holdings, Ltd. from non-executive directorships with three highly successful and profitable gold mining concerns which, between them, produce in excess of 500,000 ounces of gold per annum.

Outgoing President, Mr. Trask said, "Frankly, I genuinely believe the board would never have been able to find anyone more suited to this role than Robert. He has a strong, high profile reputation for being able to identify opportunity both in terms of actual gold production and in strategic ventures with third parties so this represents a natural progression for his immense talents. I fully expect Robert's stewardship to result in at least a doubling of gold production at Scalada Holdings, Ltd. within the next two years."

Mr. McClung has a broad and varied background encompassing mathematics and computer engineering at aviation engine builder, Pratt Whitney where he spent 6 years. He has headed the computing department at the University of Pittsburg, PA and is chiefly responsible for the development of a computer system which updated state laws and printed full revisions.

Throughout, however, he has remained invested - both financially and practically - in the gold mining industry and the company fully expects his expertise to be deployed to the considerable benefit of Scalada Holdings, Ltd., its shareholders and partners.
