October 09, 2008 - SBS Group “Lights The Night” for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at its tenth annual walk in Westfield, New Jersey. The company raised money for Brian’s Brigade in honor of Brian Egan, a 25 year old Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia survivor.
On September 27th, SBS Group joined over 2,000 family members, friends, and supporters to Light the Night for blood cancer patients and cancer awareness advocates. SBS staff members donated money and employee, Kim Kohlhepp, walked with Brian’s Brigade for the cause. The company matched all monetary donations and helped the team raise over $10,000 dollars. The Northern New Jersey chapters combined raised over $500,000 that day.

About the Light The Night Walk
The Light The Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to those battling cancer. People form teams of friends and family or co-workers to raise funds for cancer research and demonstrate their support of survivors and those still fighting for their lives. This is a casual 2-3 mile walk with no fitness requirements. The Light The Night Walk is a fun, family evening event with face painters, balloons, special guest, music, food and more. You will hear triumph and inspiration from patients and their families. Dedication banners decorated with personal messages from participants will be carried by patients leading the Walk.
