Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) was established in 2006 by the State Government of Sarawak. We are a non-profit company whose aim is to bring Sarawak to the forefront as a competitive destination for international meetings.
The Bureau is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). We provide professional advice to meeting planners. We are an impartial and unbiased source between planners and local industry suppliers. Our goal is to help connect NGOs, corporations and government bodies with whatever necessary to make international conventions a success in Sarawak.
Outgoing Tourism Malaysia State Director in Sarawak - En. Ahmad Johanif bin Mohd Ali will begin a new post in heading Tourism Malaysia New York as Vice President. The Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) hosted a farewell dinner themed, "The Kuching City Tour" that was filled with many surprises.
Sarawak Convention Bureau's (SCB) Global Marketing & Communications Director, Ms Amelia Roziman will be the first Sarawakian native to present at the 51st ICCA Congress in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is also a pioneer speaker of the Bureau's Tribal Wisdom Speaker (TWS) Programme.

Mrs Jill Henry, former CEO of Sarawak Convention Bureau receives State recognition for her contribution and achievements with the Bureau since 2006. Sarawak Convention Bureau welcomes a new addition to the family- Mr Mike Cannon. Former Executive Director of the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB), he brings with him years of experience in the business events industry.

More than 1000 hand surgeons will meet in Sarawak come April 2014. In conjunction with this conference, the Malaysian Society for Surgery of the Hand (MSSH) will contribute to the local society through purchasing handmade conference bags from a local longhouse. This will eventually be developed as an ongoing CSR project for future conferences in Sarawak.
The 2nd World Academic Convention on Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. This conference will promote the application and development of TCM, acupuncture and moxibustion.
