November 03, 2007 - Sans Digital, a leading manufacturer of high performance storage subsystems, today introduced EliteSTOR ES104TI, 1U JBOD Rackmount supporting both Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial-ATA (SATA). ES104TI is a revised version of the previous ES104T with additional of SAS support using Infiniband, also known as Multilane or SAS 4x or SFF-8470.
The EliteSTOR ES104TI series is a 1U 4 bay rack-mountable solution that supports both SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) 3.0-Gb/s or SATA 3.0-Gb/s interfaces. This system includes four hot-swappable 3.5” trays for hard drive installations, with up to 1TB per hard drive. Designed to provide optimal performance, each hard drive is connected to the computer via a dedicated eSATA channel for SATA devices, or via Infiniband / Multilane / SAS (4x SFF-8470) for SAS devices. With this dedicated quad channel design, the ES104TI could also be used with a RAID Host Bus Adapter (HBA) as an external RAID rackmount storage. ES104TI is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput, availability, and flexibility in configuration.
