October 03, 2007 - Salt Lake City, UT – JES Publishing is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Nailen as the new Arts and Entertainment Editor/Editor at large.
Dan Nailen spent eight years at the The Salt Lake Tribune, penning articles and blogs about emerging local talent and entertainment, interviewing the likes of Mick Jagger, Brian Wilson, and Kenny Chesney. Dan also wrote The Trib’s highly popular “Culture Vulture” column, covering local politics and everything else that is uniquely Utah. He started the paper’s first on-line blogs and podcasts, and ”localized” various pop cultural phenomena for Utah’s readers, something he will continue through his role at Salt Lake Magazine.
Nalien graduated from University of Utah with a degree in political science and also holds a masters in journalism from The University of Montana-Missoula
When not strolling the dog park, mutt in tow, Nailen can be found tailgating at the U, over-analyzing “The Simpsons” and putting the hurt on his liver while soaking in the music and ambiance of the local hot spots.
Check out Nailen’s “Lounge Act” blog on saltlakemagazine.com/blogs.
