March 27, 2007 - ORLANDO, FL—MARCH 27, 2007— Ryan C. Stith unleashes the volatile world of a new breed of vampires with the publication of The Next Project on 04/13/07 in conjunction with Atomic Alien Productions (www.atomicalien.s5.com) and Lulu Books (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.
The Next Project is a science-fiction / horror novel set in the year 2012. Not much has changed on the surface, but underneath, far underneath is a race of vampires’ hell bent on resurrecting their deity. Through the scriptures of the Avinale Cipacol or “Final Judgment” the vampires believe that by killing half of the world’s human population that it would release a curse that forced the entire vampire race to lust for blood. Soon two unsuspecting brothers are intertwined in the vicious battle of man versus beast; only, the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the equation.
The intense battle heats up when the war begins and the clock counts down to December 21, 2012 (12.21.12). Humans have long believed that the Mayan’s predicted the world would end at the end of their long count calendar. But they weren’t the only ones. December 21 is the vampire new year and if half the human population has been eradicated, then the vampire deity Elias Julian III will be resurrected and would surely enslave the remaining human race, much like he did centuries ago. Soon external factors begin to play a role in the outcome of the Final Judgment. Little does anyone know that soon the truths of our existence will be answered. The balance has been kept aligned all the way until the end. And now it’s time for, The Next Project.
This may be the first published novel by Ryan Stith, but not the first he has written. The Next Project is the first of a three parts in the Father of Darkness series. The official publication date is Friday, April 13, 2007. The marketing angle for the book largely revolves around the conceptions of Friday the 13th and the conspiracies of December 21, 2012. Stith and company employed sly mischief marketing tactics across the Internet, and nationwide through Atomic Alien Street Teams. The slick low-budget marketing campaign captured the attention of fiction readers, conspiracy theorists, and news junkies around the world. The novel has already been adapted to a screenplay form, and the process is in motion to produce a major motion picture based on, The Next Project.
“Digital media can be compared to Independent publishing and print-on-demand because it is the wave of the future, and the future is now,” said Ryan Stith. “It really gives the artist much more freedom to be creative, that in turn will lead to evolution in the way that we as a society perceive art and fiction literature.”
