April 22, 2010 - Jiří Nekovář, senior partner of Euro-Trend Group, the Russell Bedford audit and accounting network's member firm in Prague, has been appointed as a member of the Czech Republic's Committee for Cooperation and Coordination in the Field of Auditing.
Jiří Nekovář's appointment was confirmed in February 2010 by Jiří Rusnok, President of the Czech Council for Public Audit Oversight.
The committee is responsible in particular for coordinating the preparation of legislation on statutory audits, including cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Finance and with audit oversight authorities in other countries.
Jiří Nekovář is President of the Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic (KDPCR). He is also vice-president of the Confédération Fiscale Européenne (CFE), an umbrella organisation for more than 30 national bodies and more than 150,000 tax advisers from 24 European countries. He has been involved in CFE activities as a member of its general assembly, council and fiscal committee since 1994.
