September 27, 2009 - Murugappa Group, one of India’s leading business conglomerates which has grown with the city since 1900, joins the city in celebrating the spirit of Chennai by supporting the upcoming GiveLife Chennai Marathon on September 27, 2009!
Murugappa Group has extended their support to the GiveLife International Marathon in more ways than one. One of the subsidiary company of the group, Parry Water is the official water partner for the event. Parry water will quench the thirst of the participants by providing safe and packaged drinking water at various points throughout the run. Parry sugar will provide contestants with sugar sachets to keep them energised and going for the noble cause.
Besides this, to encourage the youngsters to participate in the event and create awareness on the need of an eco-friendly environment, TI Cycles of India, one of the leading bicycle manufacturers of BSA and Hercules brand of cycles, has also come in the forefront. The company will support the cause by motivating Chennaities to participate in the Great Chennai Run. The company has announced 2 Specialty bicycles for the winners and the first runner up of the Great Chennai run (7km).
