April 20, 2010 - Audrey Katcher, CPA, CISA, a Business Advisory Services partner at RubinBrown, has been recognized in University of Missouri-St. Louis' College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter's 2010 Salute to Business Achievement Awards program. She accepted the award at a ceremony on Saturday, April 17, during the university's alumni weekend.
Katcher, who graduated from UMSL with an accounting degree, leads RubinBrown's Information Technology Risk Services practice, where she assists clients with SAS70 services, IT risk assessment, IT auditing and data analysis. The industries she has served include financial services, higher education, manufacturing, retail and consumer.
The Salute to Business Achievement Awards program recognizes alumni of the university who have demonstrated exceptional personal and professional achievements in their careers and their community. Candidates are assessed on their accomplishments in several areas, including academic leadership, philanthropic efforts, scientific or technological contributions, professional achievements and service to UMSL and its alumni.
With 20 years of accounting industry experience, Katcher is active in a number of professional and community organizations. She is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Institute of Internal Auditors and St. Louis Forum. Katcher also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the organization's Trust Data Integrity Task Force and the Information Technology Executive Committee. She also is a member of the Standards and Capacity Building Subcommittee for the Jewish Federation.
In addition, Katcher currently serves as president of the University of Missouri-St. Louis Accounting Advisory Board and is a former board member and assistant treasurer for the Arts and Education Council. Katcher remains involved in her community as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center.
