“It always amazes me how many people fear the Internal Revenue Service and avoid filing their tax returns,” explains Roni Deutch. “IRS statistics show that over three quarters of the people who filed their tax returns in 2004 got a refund, and the average refund was over $2,000.00. Yet, in spite of these numbers people are still afraid of tax day. Every year the IRS announces that they have millions of dollars in unclaimed refunds just sitting around waiting to be claimed.”
