August 27, 2007 - BOOK-SIGNING PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT CHEFF THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER
RICHLAND, MICHIGAN—Kate Rizor, local author of The Governor’s Wife, will conduct a book-signing on Saturday, August 18th from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Harding’s Market in Richland, 8900 Gull Road.
100% of the author’s proceeds from this book-signing will go to benefit the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center of Augusta, which serves horse-back riders of all ages who have physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities.
The Governor’s Wife has been well received by readers throughout Canada and the United States. It is a story about a woman who remembers nothing of life before the accident that claims her memory. Homeless, with no ID, she manages to survive despite the hazards around every corner—until a chance encounter with the police thrusts her back into her former life, that of the governor’s wife. The Governor’s Wife is published by Stargazer Press, an independent Canadian book publisher.
Rizor, a Richland native and a 1994 graduate of Gull Lake High School, is a former newspaper reporter, trainer and copywriter. She has had more than 80 articles published across the United States, has served as a literary judge for several contests, and currently leads fiction writing seminars and workshops in her spare time. She is currently at work on her second novel.
On September 22nd, she will be at Water Street Joint in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a charity event to benefit the local SPCA.
