Robotics Summer Camp Helps Kids Learn About Robots

Children can find their engineering and creative skills at this cool Robotics Summer Camp

(1888PressRelease) April 29, 2006 - Campbell, CA, April 27, 2006 - iD Tech Camps is excited to announce that they still have a few openings available this summer in their programming and robotics camp courses on 40 university campuses.
At the iD Tech Camps robotics summer camps, students learn the fundamentals of programming in C++ and/or JAVA, utilizing the powerful compiler, Microsoft® Visual Studio.NET® Express Edition and applying this knowledge and skills to control a robotics system.

“Who should take this course?” a parent or potential camper might ask. Well, students who like solving mathematical equations, enjoy the mechanics of making things work or someone who is simply an aspiring computer programmer. Even if students have never programmed before, by the end of the week they will be coding proficiently after attending this robotics summer camp. Furthermore, this course is well-suited for students who may want to learn the nuts and bolts of the programming used in the gaming courses.

The curriculum at this programming and robotics camp has been developed into weekly "modules" so that students can return for multiple weeks. Instructors customize the curriculum so that each student can learn at his or her own pace. As one instructor says, “Robots are no longer the future!”
