July 14, 2008 - Tottenham player Robbie Keane was spotted today in the East End of Glasgow near Celtic Park. It is thought that he was having a secret meeting with Gordon Strachan, which could seal a sensational transfer coup for the Glasgow club. Sources at Tottenham say that the boyhood Celtic fan has his heart set on a move north, having rejected a big money deal from Liverpool. An unnamed source said “Robbie has always loved Celtic and feels at this stage in his career he has to be playing regular European football”
Robbie was spotted by Jenny Murray (21) from Tollcross, while she travelled to work. “I didn’t recognise him straight away. I noticed the G-Star Raw hat he was wearing, I sell loads of G-Star Raw Accessories at my work, Gravity Clothing . It was only then that I realised he was a famous footballer, and what he must have been doing at Celtic Park.”
The immanent offloading of Bobo Balde and Thomas Gravesan, will free up sufficient funds to cover the premiership aces wages. Keane leaving Tottenham will also pave the way for Cameroonian international Samuel E’to to join from European giants Barcelona.
