Dr. Rick Fleeter, best known as a rocket scientist, is also a prolific author, bike rider, Ironman competitor, and travel-obsessed man of all seasons
If he's not in Virginia, biking 15 miles to and from AeroAstro, a small spacecraft company he launched in the late 1980s, he's riding Amtrak to Rhode Island where he's an adjunct professor at Brown University, teaching spacecraft and space systems designs.
Rick has authored three books, Micro Space Craft, The Logic of Microspace and his most recent, The Travels of a Thermodynamicist. All were written during his weekly commute via Amtrak from his home in Virginia to Rhode Island where he teaches
This book is Rick and Nancy Fleeter's experience with cancer, death and dying and rebuilding one life where once there were two lives. It's a window into the most personal, and at the same time universal, of human experiences.
