Rhawnhurst Computer Training Company To Assist Dislocated And Minimum Wage Workers

Community Technical Service will begin to offer Dislocated and Minimum Wage Workers special discount offers to free computer training.

Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) April 13, 2007 - Local business woman April Johnson who relocated her Adult Computer Training program to 7718 Castor Avenue wants to improve the educational and financial situation of individuals who need a life’s change.

April has always continued to find ways to offer quality computer training skills at an affordable cost to every adult who enter her business.

Since October 2006 over 85 people who live in Rhawnhurst, Lawndale, Lawncrest and Foxchase inquired about computer training to get a better job or to maintain their current one. These individuals could not afford $750 for 50 hours of specialized computer training including materials.

CTS wants to extend to as many working age people as possible the opportunity to train for a better educational and financial future. As of April 9, 2007 any working age person between the ages 30 to 55 and earns under $20,000 per year can apply for this special discount or free training according to their income.

Lesia Schofer who lives a few blocks from Northeast High School and Librarian at the Andrew J. Morrison Elementary School in Olney, benefited from CTS's computer in training late 2006. "I have always been fearful of computers but my job as a librarian has changed to a computer administrator. The training I received at Community Technical Service has given me more than the necessary skills to help the children at the school and my career."

Frank Gurerrero 30 of Glenview Street and construction laborer signed up for computer training in February 2007. Frank had no computer skills when he started; but now he is able to apply for a better position at his current employment. "I now have enough skills and confidence in this short period of time to use my computer and do things I dreamed of".

Computer training is not privilege like a driver license. A person must committ and invest in themselves for better future. CTS is here to Bridge Adults Beyond the Digital Divide".
-April Johnson
