November 28, 2008 - Renaissance Yarns will remain open at 207 E. Meeker through Saturday, November 29, and will close November 30 through December 2 as Skorupa and her team set up the new store. Renaissance Yarns will re-open in its new location next to Daves MiniHobby Shop and the Kent Station management office on Wednesday, December 3.
In addition to the new location, Renaissance Yarns will expand its store hours to better serve its customers. Starting December 3, 2008, holiday store hours will be:
Dec. 3 19: 10 am 9 pm (Monday Saturday) and 11 am 7 pm (Sunday)
Dec. 20 23: 10 am 10 pm
Dec. 24: 10 am 5 pm
Following the Christmas holiday, store hours will be 10 am 8 pm (Monday through Saturday) and 11 am 6 pm (Sunday).
Named Best Arts & Crafts store in the 2008 KING 5 Best of Western Washington contest, Renaissance Yarns will host a Home for the Holidays Open House on Friday, December 12 (5 to 9 p.m.) to celebrate the move and to invite shoppers to visit her boutique-style yarn shop. The store will offer refreshments, discounts, door prizes and easy last-minute gift ideas. The public is invited to attend.
It was a tough decision to move from my current location, but I knew that Kent Station was an ideal spot for Renaissance Yarns, Skorupa said of the move. My new store will be centrally located, have lots of parking and be easier for customers to find.
