San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease)
June 18, 2009 - Over the past several months Remodel West has been building a new eco friendly studio for their new location. This unique opportunity allowed owner, Bill Reid, to create a workplace in alignment with the companies core green building and design principles.
After being located in Cupertino CA for over seventeen years it was time for a change. "Our lease expired April 30th and I saw a chance to create a fresh new studio and I jumped at the chance". In visiting the studio the first impression is a contemporary feeling but with a warm glow to many of the materials that have been used.
Materials such as leather flooring, cork flooring, recycled carpet tiles, and reclaimed clear redwood from one of their projects sets the tone. One of the most interesting surprises is Bill used an antenna tower, believe it or not, inside the space as a key feature.
For a company that specializes in residential I was somewhat surprised to see the high level of design and quality construction that went into the space. I could easily see Remodel West accomplishing commercial tenant improvements with out a problem. The studio is not 100 percent complete though. Bill is making the final touches on display designs, glass sliding panels and rolling work surfaces. He expects to be done sometime this summer.
A blog site www.remodelwest.wordpress.com includes some great insights to the creating the new studio. Remodel West also has a website which surely conveys the level of service they provide.
