    The new program utilizes a realistic pharmacy setting and a hands-on curriculum to help prepare students who are interested in pursuing entry-level jobs in the pharmacy field.1

    The Remington College Pharmacy Technician program, which can be completed in as few as 13 months2, includes courses in:

    • Pharmacy Practice
    • Law, Ethics, and Therapeutic Communication
    • Dosage Calculation
    • Therapeutics, Prescription Entry, and Billing
    • Sterile Products and Quality Assurance
    • Extemporaneous Compounding and Inventory Management

    Courses are taught by instructors with real-world pharmacy experience. All graduates from the program will hold two certifications, the Sterile Products Certification and the Pharmacy Technician Certification.

    The growing demand for health services is expected to create a strong job outlook for pharmacy technicians for several years. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of pharmacy technicians is projected to grow 20% from 2012 through 2022.1, 3
