October 24, 2006 - October 20, 2006-Bellevue Nebraska: Taking time to remember the noble service and great sacrifices of those who have worn our nation’s uniform is the purpose of the 7th annual Veterans Day Parade to be held in Bellevue Nebraska on Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Olde Towne Bellevue. This is Nebraska’s official Veterans Parade.
This year’s theme will be “Answering Freedoms Call.” The 2006 Parade Grand Marshall will be Robb Hoover, Retired Air Force and recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal with Seven Oak Leaf Clusters. Additional biographical information is available upon request. Mr. Hoover will be transported along the parade route in the Wells Fargo Stage Coach.
This year’s event will feature free family activities and entertainment from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at 114 West Mission Avenue prior to the start of the parade. The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band is a much-anticipated entry of this year’s parade. A family chili/soup feed will be held directly after the parade at Mission Middle School
