December 12, 2007 - Sydney Settlers offers a range of services for new migrants to Sydney, including detailed suburb reviews, an education report on all schools in the Northern Beaches, a temporary accommodation finder and other settlement services for new arrivals.
Supported by a new website, the Sydney Settlers business is targeting migrants coming to Sydney from the UK, South Africa, the USA and Canada, many of whom tend to choose the Northern Beaches as a popular relocation area due to the proximity to the Sydney CBD as well as the numerous quality beaches locally. However, the service also caters for people who may be relocating from other countries, or from closer to home, such as other areas of Australia or New Zealand.
Sydney Settlers has been established by Sue Hawkins, following her own experiences of relocating to Sydney in 2006. She has developed the variety of services being offered by the new business to include some of the things she and her family would have appreciated help with when they were involved in the moving process. She wants to make relocation easier for those who don’t know the area and who would like advice on which suburb may best suit their requirements.
By offering help and advice from people who are currently living in the Northern Beaches of Sydney it can provide new migrants with a personal and objective view on where to live and which schools to consider, if necessary, which in turn can reduce the time spent researching such aspects on arrival.
Sue Hawkins comments about the launch of Sydney Settlers: "This business is designed to help others relocate to Sydney as smoothly as possible, offering them help and advice before and after their move from people already here. Unlike migration agents who are mainly concerned with obtaining visas, we offer a range of personal services to help with the practical issues needed to be faced once the visa is in place. Our main service is the provision of detailed suburb reviews, including personalised maps, giving far more objective detail than any real estate agent has the time for."
