October 26, 2008 - Mumbai- Oct 08, 2008, Reliance Globalcom , a leading global provider of enterprise, wholesale, consumer and managed services, today announced the appointment of Mandeep Bhatia as the Business Head of its National Long Distance (NLD). Mandeep joins Reliance Globalcom from Bharti Airtel where he was leading the consumer mobile business as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa, in his new role Mandeep will report to Mr. Punit Garg, President & CEO Reliance Globalcom.

Mandeep will spearhead the initiatives of Reliance Globalcom in the National Long Distance arena, where he would be responsible for the expanding the current business comprising of a suite of voice & data products & services. Reliance currently has the largest fully-IP enabled optic fibre backbone in India spanning 110,000 Kms close to 1275 Point of Interconnects (PoI's), offering services in 20,000 towns and 4.5 lakh Indian villages, seamlessly integrated with its worlds largest private undersea cable system spanning 65,000 kms serving over 1400 enterprises, 200 carriers and 1.7 million retail customers in 50 countries across 5 continents.
