  • (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2014 - Andrew Fraser, Managing Director of change management consultancy, Reliable Manufacturing, will demonstrate how reliability can be used to support continuous improvement programmes at the Works Management Manufacturing Conference in Leicestershire on 20 - 21 November.

Many change management programmes are brought to a stand-still because of a change resistant culture and silo mentality in the factory. Aimed at manufacturing managers, the annual Works Management Manufacturing Conference (WMMC) presents thought leadership and practical advice from some of the industry's top talent on forging forward with improvement schemes. The event, organised by leading industry magazine, Works Management, features an inspiring mix of speeches, factory tours and interactive workshops, demonstrating how to put business processes into practice.

On the afternoon of the second day of the event, November 21, delegates will attend a series of three workshops in rotation. Andrew Fraser's workshop, entitled 'Engaging your people to deliver a high reliability, high profit organisation', will deliver real insight and practical tips on how to lead the process of change from reactive to proactive behaviours, to achieve a culture of high reliability. Delegates will leave understanding how and why increased reliability prompts increased production output, product quality and customer service performance.

"People change by doing things differently. But half the battle is helping them want to do things differently," says Fraser. "By equipping your leadership, aligning functions and engaging your employee's creativity in the change process, you can yield real, sustainable improvement."

Fraser's presentation will change the way delegates think about reliability as he puts forward the business case for why reliability should be given the same credence as safety, and established as a core organisation value. "Many organisations underestimate the role reliability plays in increasing production output, product quality and yield, customer satisfaction and enabling sustainable cost reductions," he explains.
