July 05, 2008 - The gloves’ high-performance dielectric properties and mechanical resistance offer sufficient protection without the need for over-gloves.
In compliance with the requirements of the IEC 60903 and EN 60903 standards, leather over-gloves used to be required for standard use, along with insulating gloves, to protect wearers from any risk of abrasion or perforation. Regeltex’s FLEX & GRIP offers sufficient protection in a single glove and thus eliminates the need for expensive and unwieldy over-gloves.
The FLEX & GRIP glove provides numerous benefits. It is non-slip, even under humid conditions, ensuring the safety of the wearer. It is also made of a softer, more comfortable material. Moreover, FLEX & GRIP is easier to use, as only one pair of gloves is needed, instead of two. The glove is also, therefore, more cost effective, as a single pair of FLEX & GRIP gloves costs less than a pair of insulating gloves and one of over-gloves. Finally, the company processes 95% of orders within three weeks (compared with up to eight weeks in the rest of the industry), thanks to the recent installation of a third production line.
Regeltex meets all European and international standards in this field. It is currently the only company to deploy all the control equipment needed to validate production batches internally, which is essential as controls and tests are a major part of the manufacturing process for such products.
The gloves are designed for use in a wide range of industries, including energy, public transport, telecoms, defence, mining and manufacturing, as well as for use by installation and maintenance companies.
