Reduced Prices and New Collectibles Announced By Big Fan Gifts And Collectibles

With the downturn in the economy many collectibles stores are looking for ways to compete in an ever more desperate environment. Big Fan Gifts may be going in the right direction by cutting prices.

(1888PressRelease) February 18, 2009 - Big Fan Gifts and Collectibles, the gifts, memorabilia, and collectibles chain based in St. Louis MO. announced a new pricing policy in which its products would be cut in price by 10 percent to 30 percent. The prices will take effect on February 14th in all stores including both physical and online stores.

The new strategy, which analysts said they believed was partially in response to the current economy but also to the recent adoption of lower prices and brand leveraging by Danbury Mint, The Franklin Mint, and other larger collectibles stores. The new policy means that Big Fan Gifts will no longer use manufacturers' suggested retail prices and will permit negotiated prices with individual customers for some items.

In contrast to the apparent cost trimming Big Fan Gifts and Collectibles has decided to proceed with plans to expand their inventory by offering new collectible items. To include; art and sculptures, action figures and stamps. These new selections will be replacing replica coins, music posters, and antique toys and games.

The new pricing strategy will not, however, affect the free authentication and appraisal services for autographs and coins offered by Big Fan Gifts and Collectibles. Their free authentication and appraisal services will continue to be offered for anyone who visits their web store and not just for their customers. Furthermore, they will also continue to offer special coupons and giveaways from their online stores.
