Red Level Networks Sees Growth In Migrations; Adds Co-op Services Credit Union To A Growing Client Roster

Red Level to migrate the organization’s network infrastructure from Novell Netware to a Microsoft Windows Server environment. Based in Livonia, Red Level is a full service information technology (IT) solutions company.

(1888PressRelease) August 24, 2006 - Co-op Services Credit Union (CSCU), a full-service, non-profit, financial cooperative, has selected Red Level Networks (Red Level) to migrate the organization’s network infrastructure from Novell Netware to a Microsoft Windows Server environment. Based in Livonia, Red Level is a full service information technology (IT) solutions company.

“We are definitely seeing a trend away from Novell Netware environments,” said David King, President of Red Level Networks. “Application vendors are weighing the costs of developing their products for both Microsoft and Novell networks and Microsoft is winning this race. I expect the pace of migrations to increase as companies see greater flexibility with the Microsoft operating systems and vendors limit the multiple operating system support of their products.”

CSCU engaged Red Level to provide professional services for the Novell to Microsoft network migration project, which will include adding five new servers, migrating to Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft System Management Server and upgrading 125 workstations.

“Red Level was able to implement unique IT solutions to meet our needs, helping us work more efficiently with our members,” said Norm Thomas, Vice President of Information Systems of Co-op Services Credit Union. “This software migration will allow us to work with more third party software companies, allow us to work with a greater array of vendors, and, ultimately lower support costs. Red Level’s knowledge and professionalism has quickly built a level of confidence and trust, and we are looking forward to a long working relationship with Dave King and his organization.”

Emerging and rapidly growing businesses form the core of Red Level Networks’ client community. In 2005, the company posted corporate revenue of just over $1 million, a 225-percent increase over 2004 sales, and its customer base grew 110 percent.
