November 19, 2006 - RECORDING STAR MORRIS DAY MAKES ‘TIME’ FOR ATLANTA TOYOTA
Growing up in Minneapolis, national recording star Morris Day was fortunate to have Prince as a neighbor. Now living in Atlanta, Day says he is lucky to have Adam Berman, General Manager of Atlanta Toyota, as his neighbor. Tuesday, November 28, the two will be spending more time together as Day makes a personal appearance at Atlanta Toyota from 4PM until 6PM.
Berman, General Manager of Atlanta Toyota, had built his yearly advertising campaign around the slogan, “What time is it?” Day is famous as a recording artist with his group “Morris Day and the Time.” When they met at a neighborhood function, Day made the point to Berman that he was “all about time.” The two made a deal right there, and Atlanta Toyota has featured Day in their commercials since October. “The response has been tremendous,” Berman says, “our market has made the time connection, and Morris’ personality just jumps through the screen.” Day, who starred with Prince in the movie “Purple Rain”, added, “Viewers can see we were having fun, and learning lines like ‘What time is it?’, well, I’ve been saying that for a long time!” Day’s appearance at Atlanta Toyota is open to the public, who are invited to bring their cameras. Atlanta Toyota is located off I-85 North at exit 104, on Pleasant Hill Road.
