Rebuilding Together Atlanta Hosts First Annual Golf Tournament

The nation's largest volunteer home repair organization's Atlanta chapter is set to launch its first Annual Golf Tournament to raise money and awareness of their mission.

(1888PressRelease) September 03, 2008 - On September 15, 2008, the non-profit organization Rebuilding Together Atlanta (RTA) will host their first annual golf tournament. Held at Echelon, home of the new Georgia Tech Club, the tournament promises to be an exciting one. Golfers from all over Metro Atlanta have signed up to participate in the tournament and even those who are not golfing experts can enjoy a fun day of charity golf with the scramble format. Prizes will be given for hole in one, longest drive, and closest to pin contests.

All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit RTA and facilitate its mission of preserving and revitalizing homes and communities. Rebuilding Together Atlanta works to assure that low-income homeowners, particularly older adults, people with disabilities and multi-generation families, live in warmth, safety, and independence. Through the use of volunteers and sponsors, as well as fundraising events such as this tournament, RTA is able to provide much needed repairs at no cost to the homeowner.

The tournament is fast approaching, but those interested in participating can still sign up. Discounted rates are available to those who sign up as a foursome, but individual slots are available. Contact Jan Jordan at (404) 351-4949 with any questions or to reserve your spot.
