August 22, 2008 - IDX, Inc. announces the addition of Roy Barker and the Viewpoint Property real estate team based in Kirkland, Wash. to the growing database of real estate offices choosing to integrate the IDX Broker software into the search function of their website. Barker’s unique website that he designed himself now offers his clients instant access to search thousands of property listings from the Northwest MLS (NWMLS).
The Internet Data Exchange (IDX) software automatically extracts raw data from the NWMLS, formats it to Barker’s specifications, and then displays the customized data in the search function of the Viewpoint Property site, saving both real estate agents and consumers time. The IDX Broker software allows Barker to feature his listings on his site and maintain his company branding throughout each of the pages. All of the search options and overall look of the site are completely customizable through an administrative log in using custom CSS, and global, page, and category wrappers.
To further simplify the process, properties can be searched using five different search methods, the most common being basic, advanced, and map. A basic search allows the client to specify price range, bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage while an advanced search allows the client to expand upon the criteria to include more detailed preferences such as exterior style, flooring, roof type, and view description. The map search, powered by Google Maps, pinpoints properties for sale on a satellite image of the area and allows users to visualize the property relative to distance from roads, major landmarks, and other cities.
