September 08, 2008 - Washington, D.C. – In the current economic climate, like every other economic downturn, the outlook for non profits feels bleak. According to the Philanthropic Giving Index recently released by Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy, "[t]he percentage of fundraisers reporting a negative impact of the economy on giving has grown significantly.”
Introducing the We Need Funds NOW! Challenge:
Kristy Hall, a non profit speaker and consultant who created the Nonprofit Super Series: We Need Funds NOW! program to help non profit organizations learn how to raise funds fast is stepping up to help organizations do just that – raise money fast. Hall will help two U.S. grassroots non profit organizations with budgets from $0 to $1M, a few paid staff members and an incredible cause and mission implement the strategies and techniques in the We Need Funds NOW! program to raise $20,000 in 30 days.
U.S. non profit organizations are encouraged to apply. The application deadline for organizations is September 30, 2008, and the winning organizations will be selected by October 7, 2008.
Hall will be partnering with media and other companies to document each organization’s progress and to celebrate in their success – which will be featured in a subsequent case study on successful fundraising.
“I am so excited! Not only will we help two specific organizations raise funds, we’ll be able to show other organizations that if they believe in their cause and themselves and have the right training, they can get the funding they need to change the world” Hall says.
Based on the principles and strategies in the Nonprofit Super Series: We Need Funds NOW!, Hall will work with the organizations so that within 30 days the organizations will
Identify donors and potential donors
Determine a plan to approach these donors
Create a process to strengthen donor relationships
Execute their fundraising campaign plan
Raise $20,000
All funds will go directly to the organizations selected to participate in the Challenge.
