April 26, 2008 - Sheridan, Wyoming – Real Estate Brokerage CENTURY 21 BHJ recently sponsored a creative writing contest at Sheridan High School. Students in Ms. Rita Geary’s English class were challenged to write an article on the topic “Why Sheridan is a Great Place to Live.” The winning students were presented cash prizes and certificates last month and their entries will be “published” on the Sheridan Area Blog site at www.SheridanBlog.com.
“Because we passionately believe in community involvement, we felt this writing contest would offer a creative outlet for high school students and provide a platform to allow those in our community to read for themselves why life in Sheridan is something these young people truly appreciate. We take great pride as corporate citizens in partnering with the local Sheridan schools,” offered agency owner Bruce Garber.
“Selecting the winning entries for this contest was not an easy task. There were many exceptional articles submitted by the Sheridan High students. This speaks highly of our teachers and staff at Sheridan High School and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Principal Ms. Dirlene Wheeler and English teacher Ms. Rita Geary for allowing CENTURY 21 BHJ to conduct this contest. The first place $100 prize went to Ms. Carissa Goodman, the $50 second place prize winning entry was written by Ms. Kylen Caywood, and the third place prize of $25 went to Ms. Chelsey Hager. We are excited for these winners and gladly offer our Sheridan blog as a platform to showcase these terrific articles,” stated Garber.
