February 20, 2009 - In preparation for coming global growth in commodities trading, RDG Trading has planned on developing a greater presence in Asia, with the opening of its first Asian office. The RDG Trading team in Asia, is to be comprised of a group of highly experienced individuals targeting the provision of growth equity capital to smaller, high potential companies in China as well as companies with substantial operations and growth opportunities in Greater China.
"While the global economy has slowed, Asian population growth has not. As the pace of population growth increases, demand for commodities must rise. We plan to grow along side the increasing demand." said RDG Trading Chief Financial Officer, James Stratford.
The American financial group anticipates an attractive number of potential investment opportunities and partnerships within the Asian Emerging Marketplace within Greater China.
RDG Trading analysts feel that as private equity has flowed into China, smaller high potential companies have been left behind. The RDG Trading analysts feel that a few investors in the region were sufficiently focused on these size companies and therefore were unable to provide global operating resources and relationships that RDG Trading could offer.
RDG Trading is recently stated that the firm is well-positioned to support smaller, high growth companies and their management teams as they seek to grow their businesses in Europe, Asia and rest of the World.
Location of the new office will be in Hong Kong and will support ongoing Asian operations.
