May 31, 2009 - Tata Motors today announced that Mr. Ravi Kant, the Managing Director of Tata Motors, will retire from his Executive position on June 1, 2009, on reaching the retirement age of 65 years as per the Company’s policy. The Board of Directors of the Company has decided to retain Mr. Ravi Kant on the Board as the Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of the company.
The Board has also decided to elevate Mr. Prakash M. Telang, the current Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), as the Managing Director – India operations effective June 2, 2009.
