A common problem with niche websites is moving away from their niche and selling more wide-spread product lines. Shifting from a niche retailer to a more mainstream player is a feat most businesses never accomplish. HouseOfRave did this by slowly integrating more mainstream products to their inventory to see which products lines reacted well with the consumer. Also a notable source of business is from micro-seasons. “We focus on the seasons, but we also have lots of micro-seasons which correspond with large festivals or party times such as Chinese New Year or the Miami Ultra Festival. One of the busiest times of the year for us is during the 4th quarter with all the holidays.
