February 06, 2008 - The new Rapid Redact High Volume Server, released at LegalTech, gives organisations who hold sensitive data a more cost effective option to redact large volumes of documents in-house. Taking greater control of the redaction process can minimise the risks, time and costs involved.
Rapid Redact High Volume Server is the latest product in the Rapid Redact suite, widely used by litigation teams and government departments including the military to efficiently redact documents before release to the courts, regulators or public.
“Redaction is a growth industry. One of the factors is e-document discovery (EDD), which results in ever increasing volumes of documents being submitted for redaction,” says Glyn Williams, CEO of Onstream Systems, which develops the Rapid Redact range.

Rapid Redact High Volume Server allows more document types than ever before to undergo redaction, using unique technology to retain the document fidelity. The Rapid Redact technology translates every document into a uniformly formatted working copy for redaction and subsequent review. The unlimited reviewing capability means that reviewers, who are often senior executives, can now quickly open and approve documents for release, regardless of format. This eliminates bottlenecks during the review process and the need to install expensive proprietary software licences on every reviewer’s PC.
