October 22, 2009 - The President of RacingUSA, David Carrington alongside Eric Yonge, the President of EYStudios, announced the re-launch of RacingUSA.com on the Yahoo! platform today. The new store design features an updated version of their classic logo with added features to increase the site’s usability for loyal NASCAR fans everywhere.
Carrington partnered with Yonge to create a bold new approach to the RacingUSA brand and user experience. With headquarters based just outside of Birmingham, Ala., they are currently the most frequently shopped, independently owned NASCAR memorabilia store in the world.
The company began in the late 1990s with four ‘brick and mortar’ locations and soon after RacingUSA.com was originally launched. By 2000, the website was netting more income than all four of the original locations combined. This allowed for Carrington to streamline his business and close the physical locations. In 2005, RacingUSA was named Alabama’s Gold Award Retailer of the Year. RacingUSA became the first NASCAR retailer to receive the TRUSTe Privacy Seal in 2008.
Finally, in 2009, Carrington was named Entrepreneurial Hero by the Acton Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
