July 14, 2007 - PORTLAND, OR — LogoLounge announced today the selection of 2,000 logos to be included in its next book, LogoLounge IV, including one submitted by Quango Inc. The fourth version of this popular international design book received over 28,000 submissions.
Quango originally designed the acclaimed logo for General Transportation, a freight transport company based in Portland, Oregon. The desire was to combine the company’s previously established star symbol with a more recognizable transportation representation. The result was a deep red star, its five points formed by outward-facing arrows. The submission of the design to LogoLounge was one of Quango’s first competitive entries.
LogoLounge is both a design Web site and a hugely popular series of design books published by Rockport, a company specializing in illustrated source books for professional designers and artisans. The LogoLounge books have received increasing numbers of submissions since first being published in 2003. LogoLounge IV is scheduled to debut in March 2008.
