March 22, 2007 - Paris, France. March 22 , 2007 – Px3 is juried by top international decision-makers in the photography industry. Jury Members include the Curator of Photography from the Washington D.C. Library of Congress, the Director of Photography at Sports Illustrated Magazine, and Art Directors and Creative Directors from the best advertising agencies around the world. Entries are judged by category: Advertising, Photojournalism, Book, Fine Art, Nature, and Portraiture, all which contain various sub-categories.
According to Px3 jury member Tom Meerman, President of the GKF/Dutch Photographer's Association, “What a great work has been submitted…It's really a joy to go through it.”
Winning entries from the 1st and 2nd place winners in each major category are exhibited in Paris at the prestigious 13Sévigné Gallery on June 29th, 2007 for two weeks. The exhibition will be attended by leading photography editors, print and online press, publishers, curators, gallery owners, agents, consultants, creative directors and art buyers and art directors from across the globe.
The most coveted public recognitions are the Px3 Grand Prize and the Best New Talent Award. The Best New Talent Award, open to non-professionals and students only, also includes a 2,000 Euro cash prize.
The work of the 1st and 2nd place major and subcategory winners will be published in the high-quality, full-color Px3 Annual Book, which is distributed to galleries, agencies, publishers and bookstores worldwide.
