Progress Energy Florida 2013 commercial solar PV rebate funds still available

  • (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2012 - The commercial rebates are available for qualifying customer-owned solar PV systems to be installed in 2013. Commercial customers are allocated $1.3 million in solar PV incentives.

    Residential incentives totaling $1.9 million were fully allocated shortly after the program’s application period opened on Oct. 1.

    “We encourage our commercial customers to apply if they haven’t done so already,” said Alex Glenn, incoming Duke Energy state president - Florida. “The SunSense program is a key component of our strategy to assist those customers interested in investing in solar technology, and there are funds available for a short period of time.”

    Through the SunSense program, Progress Energy Florida provides qualifying residential and commercial customers rebates of up to $2 per watt for customer-installed solar PV systems.
