May 14, 2008 - Via Belgio - Ibiketuscany.com is a Florence-based company specializing in 1-day private bike rides and longer bike tours for small groups (biking in tuscany for singles, families, friends from 1 to 6 people) around Florence , Siena and Chianti. Lately new tours to the Cinque Terre, Lago Maggiore, Monte Rosa, Sicily and Dolomites have been added. The service is different, very special, flexible and personalized. Our tours are all private and pick up/drop off at hotels, railway stations and airports are provided. Wine tastings, winery tours, events play a great part in our schedule.
Our goal is to give you the opportunity to experience some really different and off-the-beaten track itineraries that only a local knows , cycling at your own pace on quiet country roads, past vineyards, olive groves and through quaint villages. Yes there are hills (this is Tuscany after all) but rest stops are frequent and you'll have al the time in the world to enjoy the view from a hilltop and take pictures. If you love wine, at the end of the day, let us take you to a winery for a Chianti Classico wine tasting and a guided tour. If you visit Florence and you want to get away from the traffic, the crowd and the routine of the museums for just one day, or you want to experience the adventure of a 6 days active vacation we have a different perfect way...actually the best.
Our tours are private and therefore special, personalized and exclusive. Either you choose a single or multi day tour a van will pick you up in the morning at 9.00 am or 9.30 am directly at your hotel or villa and from there you will be taken to the tour starting point. Being the tour private, you will be biking at your own pace as you will not have to stick with a big group of strangers of different abilities, where you may find yourself too far behind or too far ahead. Your group is your family, your friends, your partner. So, unless you want to be competitive and...show off a little, you will cycle in complete relaxation enjoying this wonderful countryside, stopping whenever you want for pictures, rest, lunch or simply to enjoy a breathtaking view. At the end of the tour, in the afternoon, the van will take you back to your hotel after a great day of cycling under (hopefully!) the Tuscan sun.
