Present Moment Conscious Living Retreat, a uniquely combined resort and spiritual retreat center, is now open for business. Located on a remote and private beachfront property with the Sierra Madre Mountains on one side and the Pacific Riviera on the other, Present Moment offers programs in yoga, massage, qigong and dance classes, alongside adventure activities in kayaking, surfing, mountain hiking, and horseback riding on the beach. The restaurant serves healthy gourmet cuisine that features locally harvested seafood and produce. The relatively small, intimate nature of the resort encourages a family atmosphere where management and staff are involved with, and deeply committed to, the positive experience of each and every guest.
In addition are the newly constructed, hand-crafted facilities and accommodations. Eight bungalows and one two story home, with indigenous palapa thatched roofs hand-crafted in the Mexican tradition, are designed to pamper guests in luxury that includes pillow top queen-sized beds, 400 count cotton bedding and canopies of white linen. The bathrooms feature native ocean stone floors designed to massage the feet. All units also have private decks and meditation gardens as well as views of the sea.
Present Moment Retreat is the manifestation of the dream of co-founders Tom Morisette and CJ Page. "There is a fascinating shift in our world…humans are waking up," says Morisette. "Our world is waking up to spirit and the desire for deeper meaning in our lives. We’ve discovered that by being fully present, life takes on the qualities of spiritual and material abundance. As a result, we have felt more alive, yet more grounded—connected to ourselves and connected to others—and therefore we want to extend this awareness out to the world."
Morisette emphasizes the sanctuary nature of the facility as a place where the goal is to provide holistic nurturing to all guests. "Present Moment strives to awaken the power of the human spirit.
